About Scuola Robotics

FIRST Tech Challenge Team from Kanata, ON, Canada

We are a group of 11 students from across Ottawa, spanning grades 8 to 11, united by a shared passion for innovation. Together, we are exploring the exciting world of STEM and discovering how it can shape and improve lives in the future. Through collaboration, curiosity, and creativity, we aim to develop new skills, tackle real-world challenges, and inspire one another to imagine what is possible.

About FIRST Tech Challenge

The FIRST Tech Challenge invites teams of 2 to 15 students, ages 12 to 18, to design, build, program, and operate robots in head-to-head competitions within an alliance format. Participants often call it “the hardest fun you’ll ever have!”

With support from Coaches and Mentors, students build STEM skills, practice engineering principles, and learn the value of teamwork and creativity. Robots are built from a reusable kit and can be programmed in languages such as Java. Teams also raise funds, create a team brand, and engage in community outreach, earning awards along the way.
